Daniela Flakus, MSW, LSW, is a licensed social worker who holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Aurora University. Her therapeutic practice is rooted in trauma-informed care, cultural humility, and intersectionality, recognizing how each person’s identities and lived experiences shape their healing journey. Daniela integrates expressive therapies, mindfulness, creativity, and psychoeducation to help clients build emotional awareness, strengthen self-understanding, and navigate challenges with greater resilience. She strives to create a space where young people feel seen, heard, and valued for who they are.
Daniela is dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, and young adults, with a particular commitment to creating affirming therapeutic experiences for LGBTQIA+ youth and individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Her warm, collaborative style encourages clients to explore their strengths, process difficult emotions, and build meaningful connections with themselves and their communities. At the center of Daniela’s work is the belief that healing happens through connection, authenticity, and compassion. Her mission is to help clients celebrate their identities, cultivate confidence, and move toward healing at their own pace.
